The Pension

The Pension San Isidro is located in the Barrio de las Letras, in the centre of Madrid, a residential area which was home to the great writers during the XVI and XVII centuries, such as Cervantes, Lope de Vega, Tirso de Molina and Calderon de la Barca.

Calle Principe is an area of great interest for tourists thanks to the high number of theatres, such as the Teatro de la Comedia (Theatre of Comedy) and the Teatro Espanol (Spanish Theatre) (1849), located on Plaza de Santa Ana, with statues of Calderon de la Barca and Federico Garcia Lorca.
